Cost effectiveness and low power consumption enable it to better support a range of mass-market CO2 monitoring applications. Scheduled for release in the second half of 2024, the STCC4 is poised to support a wide array of consumer-oriented applications that require CO2 monitoring.
The STCC4 is one of the smallest sensors ever available to directly measure CO2 concentration and is designed to be seamlessly integrated into compact electronic devices, providing a new solution for CO2 monitoring applications that are currently plagued by size and cost. The sensor is one of the pioneering products in the current CO2 sensor market.
Leveraging advanced thermal conductivity sensing technology, the STCC4 delivers the precision required for indoor air quality applications while operating on low power. When used in conjunction with Sensirion's temperature and humidity sensors, the STCC4 can adapt to environmental changes, ensuring accurate signal compensation and monitoring of relevant indoor environmental parameters. Its exceptional power efficiency is further demonstrated by its minimal current draw, which supports a broader range of low-power applications.
Developed and manufactured in Switzerland, the STCC4 simplifies integration into high-volume applications thanks to optimized Surface-Mounted Device (SMD) assembly and tape packaging. Its wide-ranging applicability extends to various devices, including indoor air quality monitors, smart thermostats, and air conditioning systems.
