In the automotive sector, spot shortages of MLCC, resistor sensors and connectors have remained flat month-to-month, but are still more severe than at the beginning of 2023. Affected by the January 1 earthquake, Sanken Electric's three plants in Ishikawa Prefecture are still facing a lack of water and electricity supply. However, the company expects to resume production at two of its plants in early February.
