    Definition:

    A Linear IC, also known as a linear integrated circuit, is an electronic circuit that operates with linear signal processing. Linear ICs are designed to produce an output signal that is a linear function of the input signal. Unlike digital ICs, which operate with binary signals, linear ICs work with analog signals.

     

    What is the difference between Linear IC and nonlinear IC?

    The key point that distinguishes a nonlinear circuit from a linear circuit is the relationship between the input and output signal. If you graph the output signal versus the input signal for a linear circuit, then the graph will be a straight line for all input signal level.
