ADAU1761BCPZ-R7 Audio Codec Chip

The ADAU1761BCPZ-R7 is a high-performance, low-power stereo audio codec with integrated digital audio processing capabilities. It features a SigmaDSP® core with 28-bit processing (56-bit double precision) and a 50 MIPS processing speed. This powerful core allows system designers to compensate for real-world limitations of audio components, resulting in significant improvements in perceived audio quality through advanced processing techniques such as equalization, multiband compression, and third-party algorithms.

Technical Specifications

The ADAU1761BCPZ-R7 boasts 24-bit stereo audio ADCs and DACs with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of over 98 dB. It supports a wide range of sampling rates from 8 kHz to 96 kHz. The codec is designed for low power consumption, with only 7 mW required for both recording and playback at 48 kHz when powered by a 1.8 V analog supply. It includes six analog input pins that can be configured for single-ended or differential inputs, providing flexibility for various audio input scenarios. Additionally, the chip features flexible analog input/output mixers, a stereo digital microphone input, and five high-power output drivers. These drivers support various configurations, including differential and single-ended stereo outputs, as well as a mono headphone output driver.
