ADAU1761BCPZ-RL Audio Codec Chip Overview

The ADAU1761BCPZ-RL is a low-power, stereo audio codec designed by Analog Devices (ADI) for high-fidelity audio processing in portable and embedded systems. It integrates a 24-bit ADC (98 dB SNR) and 24-bit DAC (100 dB SNR) with sampling rates ranging from 8 kHz to 96 kHz, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of audio standards. The device features a SigmaDSP® 28-/56-bit digital audio processor capable of 50 MIPS, enabling real-time audio effects such as equalization, dynamic range compression, and noise reduction via the SigmaStudio® graphical programming tool. It supports 6 analog inputs (configurable as single-ended or differential), stereo digital microphone input, and 5 analog outputs (2 differential stereo, 2 single-ended stereo, and 1 mono headphone driver). 

The integrated PLL allows flexible clock management (8 MHz–27 MHz input), while I²C and SPI interfaces simplify configuration. Powered by 1.8V–3.65V analog supplies and 1.63V–3.65V digital I/O, it operates efficiently at 7 mW (record) and 7 mW (playback) at 48 kHz, 1.8V. The 32-pin LFCSP (5mm × 5mm) package with an exposed pad enhances thermal performance, making it ideal for space-constrained designs.

Alternative audio codec Models
