ADHV4702-1BCPZ General Purpose Amplifier 1 Circuit

The ADHV4702-1BCPZ from Analog Devices Inc. is a high-voltage (up to 220V), unity-gain stable precision operational amplifier designed for demanding applications requiring exceptional accuracy and wide dynamic range . It operates from a wide supply range of 24V to 220V, supporting symmetrical dual supplies (±12V to ±110V), asymmetrical supplies, or a single 220V supply . Housed in a compact, high-isolation 12-lead, 7mm x 7mm LFCSP package with an exposed pad (EPAD), it is compliant with IEC 61010-1 creepage and clearance standards for safety in high-voltage environments and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

This op-amp delivers outstanding DC precision and dynamic performance. It features an exceptionally high open-loop gain of 170 dB (typ.) and a common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 160 dB (typ.), ensuring minimal error in precision measurement circuits. Its low input offset voltage (1 mV max.) and low drift (2 µV/°C max.) are complemented by ultra-low input bias current (2 pA max.) and low voltage noise (8 nV/√Hz at 10 kHz). For fast signal processing, it offers a high slew rate of 74 V/µs and a 10 MHz small-signal bandwidth. The device also includes a resistor-adjustable quiescent current (0.6 mA to 3 mA) and a shutdown mode for power-sensitive applications.

Alternative amplifiers

● LTC6090/LTC6091 (Analog Devices): A family of 140V CMOS op-amps with rail-to-rail output and picoamp input bias current, suitable for applications requiring slightly lower voltage but similar precision.

● OPA462 (Texas Instruments): A high-voltage (180V), high-current (30mA typ.) operational amplifier with a 6.5 MHz gain-bandwidth product, offering a balance of voltage and current drive from a different manufacturer.

● OPA454 (Texas Instruments): A 100V operational amplifier capable of delivering up to 50mA output current, providing higher current drive for loads requiring more power at a lower voltage range.

● ADHV4710 (Analog Devices): A 110V, 1A high-current operational amplifier from the same family, designed for applications demanding very high output current drive alongside high voltage.
