The LT8646SEV#PBF is a high-efficiency, monolithic synchronous step-down (buck) switching regulator from Analog Devices, renowned for its exceptional low noise and high switching frequency performance. It is specifically designed to power noise-sensitive RF, precision analog, and high-speed digital loads. Operating from an input voltage range of 3.4V to 65V, it can deliver up to 15A of continuous output current with a Silent Switcher® 2 architecture that minimizes EMI emissions without compromising efficiency. This regulator features a fast minimum on-time and operates at a switching frequency of up to 3 MHz, enabling the use of small external components and creating compact, high-performance power solutions for demanding applications.

This device employs Silent Switcher 2 technology with integrated high-frequency bypass capacitors to drastically reduce EMI, allowing it to pass CISPR 25 Class 5 peak EMI limits. It offers a programmable switching frequency from 200 kHz to 3 MHz, which can also be synchronized to an external clock. The regulator provides a wide output voltage range from 0.6V to 15V with a ±1% reference accuracy. Its unique active transient response control enables rapid recovery from load steps. Key features include spread spectrum frequency modulation for EMI reduction, output voltage tracking, and comprehensive protection (overcurrent, overtemperature, input/output overvoltage).
