The LTC3533EDE#PBF, engineered by Analog Devices (formerly Linear Technology), is a wide VIN range, highly efficient, fixed-frequency synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter that regulates output voltage from input supplies above, below, or equal to the output. Its proprietary 4-switch topology delivers a continuous transfer function across all operating modes, eliminating the mode-transition glitches common in conventional designs and making it exceptionally suited for battery-powered systems where supply voltage fluctuates around the regulated output. 

It operates across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is available in tape-and-reel packaging with RoHS compliance and lead-free termination. The device integrates a synchronous rectifier, eliminating the need for an external Schottky diode and further boosting conversion efficiency. Key absolute maximum ratings include a 5.5V maximum input voltage, a 5.25V maximum output voltage, and a 2A output current capability. The switching frequency is programmable within a 300kHz to 2MHz range, allowing designers to optimize between efficiency and external component size.
