The MAX17504ATP+T is a high-efficiency, synchronous step-down DC-DC converter, designed for applications requiring compact power solutions with high performance. This converter operates from a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 60V and delivers up to 3.5A of continuous output current with adjustable output voltage from 0.9V to 90% of the input voltage.  The MAX17504ATP+T features synchronous rectification with integrated MOSFETs, eliminating the need for external Schottky diodes and providing peak efficiency exceeding 90%. This converter is particularly suited for portable devices, industrial equipment, and automotive systems where space constraints and energy efficiency are critical requirements.

The MAX17504ATP+T delivers exceptional performance with a switching frequency range of 100kHz to 2.2MHz, allowing designers to optimize for efficiency or solution size. The DC-DC converter features built-in internal compensation across the entire output voltage range, eliminating the need for external compensation components and reducing total system cost. Key specifications include a typical quiescent current of 5µA, ±1.1% feedback regulation accuracy over the full temperature range, and a programmable soft-start feature to reduce input inrush current. The converter incorporates advanced protection features including overcurrent protection with hiccup-mode current limit and autoretry startup, overtemperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout.
