The IR2156STRPBF is an integrated electronic ballast controller and half-bridge driver from Infineon Technologies, designed for high-reliability fluorescent and HID lamp ballast applications. It combines a programmable oscillator, high-voltage half-bridge driver, and comprehensive protection features in one compact IC, supporting 10V–25V supply voltage and delivering 400mA sink/250mA source output current for efficient MOSFET driving.

Key features include programmable preheat frequency and time, internal ignition ramp, adjustable dead time, and programmable over-current threshold, ensuring safe lamp startup and stable operation. With a 36kHz–44kHz operating frequency range, 150µA micropower startup, and built-in 15.6V Zener clamp diode on VCC, this RoHS-compliant device is housed in a 14-SOIC narrow package, serving as a cost-effective, all-in-one solution for industrial and consumer lighting ballast designs.
