IR3557MTRPBF 40A Integrated PowIRstage
The IR3557MTRPBF is a high-performance integrated PowIRstage® from Infineon Technologies, designed for high-frequency, high-current DC-DC converters and voltage regulators. It integrates a synchronous buck gate driver, control MOSFET, synchronous MOSFET, and schottky diode into a single compact package, optimizing PCB layout, heat transfer, and switch node ringing. Supporting a 4.5V-15V input voltage range and 0.25V-5.5V adjustable output voltage, it delivers 40A continuous output current and operates at up to 1.0MHz switching frequency, enabling miniaturization of passive components. Equipped with 5mV/A on-chip temperature-compensated current sensing, Body-Braking™ transient support, and diode emulation mode, it balances high efficiency (especially at light loads) with precise current monitoring, ideal for high-density, high-power server and industrial designs.
Operating reliably across -40°C to 125°C industrial temperature range, the IR3557MTRPBF features 4.5V-7V VCC and VDRV supply voltages, 3.3V tri-state PWM input compatibility, and 8mV/°C temperature analog output. It includes comprehensive protection mechanisms: cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), VCC undervoltage lockout (UVLO), preliminary overvoltage protection (Pre-OVP), and MOSFET phase fault detection with flags.
