TC377TP96F300SAALXUMA1 TriCore™ AURIX™ Microcontroller IC 32-Bit 6MB FLASH
The TC377TP96F300SAALXUMA1 is an Infineon AURIX 2nd-generation 32-bit automotive microcontroller based on the TriCore 1.6.2P unified RISC+DSP architecture, featuring three main CPU cores running at 300MHz plus two lockstep checker cores for ASIL-D/SIL-3 functional safety. It integrates 6MB of ECC-protected program Flash, up to 1.1MB of ECC-protected SRAM (including per-core DSPR/PSPR scratchpads and 32KB instruction + 16KB data caches), and is developed and documented per ISO 26262/IEC 61508 to support the most stringent safety-integrity levels. The device also embeds an eVita Full Hardware Security Module (HSM) with ECC256 and SHA2 acceleration, a Safety Management Unit (SMU), Memory Test Unit (MTU) with MBIST/ECC, and an I/O Monitor (IOM), together delivering deterministic, security-rich computation for powertrain, chassis, ADAS, and zone/domain controller ECUs.
Alternative automotive MCUs
1. SAK-TC397QP-160F300S AE: A higher-end AURIX 2G MCU with six TriCore cores at 300MHz, up to 16MB Flash and 6.9MB SRAM, dual FlexRay, and Gigabit Ethernet, offering a scalable upgrade path for compute-intensive domain controllers and ADAS fusion.
2. Renesas RH850/P1H-C: A dual-lockstep G3M-core automotive MCU up to 240MHz with up to 10MB Flash and 1.5MB SRAM, ASIL-D compliant and oriented toward chassis, gateway, and sensor-fusion ECUs as a cross-vendor alternative.
3. NXP S32K344: A Cortex-M7 lockstep MCU at 240MHz with 4MB Flash, ASIL-D safety, an HSE security engine with FOTA A/B swap, and Ethernet TSN/CAN FD, well suited for body, zone, and BMS applications as an Arm-based substitute.
4. STMicroelectronics Stellar P: A multi-core Arm Cortex-M7/M4 automotive MCU with up to ASIL-D safety, large embedded Flash, and over-the-air update support, positioned as a modern alternative for electrified powertrain and domain-control systems.
