TDA21240AUMA1 Synchronous Buck Power Stage

The TDA21240AUMA1 is a high-performance synchronous buck power stage (multichip module) manufactured by Infineon Technologies, engineered for high-density voltage regulation in industrial and consumer applications. Housed in a compact 30-pin PG-IQFN-30-2 surface-mount package (4×4×1.05mm footprint), it operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 16V and a maximum average output current of 40A, supporting switching frequencies above 500kHz for high-efficiency power conversion. This device integrates a high-side and a low-side 25V power MOSFET with a robust gate driver, and features a typical quiescent current of 840µA for energy efficiency.

Equipped with comprehensive protection and control features, the TDA21240AUMA1 ensures safe and stable operation in harsh environments. It includes a built-in bootstrap diode, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), shoot-through protection, and thermal warning (via PH FLT# pin) to prevent device damage. The tri-state PWM input is compatible with 3.3V logic, while the remote driver disable function (via EN pin) enables flexible system control.
