TLE7182EMXUMA1 H‑Bridge MOSFET Driver

The TLE7182EMXUMA1 is an automotive‑qualified MOTIX™ H‑bridge gate driver IC from Infineon, engineered to drive four external N‑channel power MOSFETs for high‑current DC motor control in 12V automotive power nets. Housed in a 24‑pin SSOP package with an exposed thermal pad, it operates from 7.0V to 34V across a junction temperature range of −40°C to +150°C, fully AEC‑Q100 qualified and RoHS compliant. It supports 0% to 95% duty cycle at 20kHz for high‑side MOSFETs and 0% to 100% for low‑side devices, with independent control for each MOSFET, internal shoot‑through protection, and programmable dead time to ensure safe and reliable switching in harsh automotive environments.

This MOTIX driver integrates a full suite of diagnostic and protection features to enhance system robustness, including under‑voltage lockout, over‑voltage warning, over‑temperature warning, adjustable short‑circuit protection, and over‑current detection via an integrated current‑sense op amp. A single‑bit error output pin provides simple fault reporting, while low quiescent current mode supports power‑efficient standby operation. Designed for flexibility, it includes an auxiliary output to drive a reverse‑polarity protection MOSFET and supports both single and dual half‑bridge topologies, making it suitable for driving motors, valves, solenoids, pumps, and fans with minimal external components.
