The MP2315GJ-Z, manufactured by Monolithic Power Systems (MPS), is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down DC-DC converter packaged in a space-saving 8-pin TSOT23-8, designed for compact power management applications. It features a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 24V, supports a continuous output current of 3A, and an adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 22.8V, with a fixed switching frequency of 500kHz that can be synchronized to an external clock ranging from 200kHz to 2MHz. Equipped with built-in internal power MOSFETs (low Rds(on)), it achieves up to 95% conversion efficiency, low quiescent current, and current-mode operation for fast transient response and stable loop performance, along with protection features including over-current protection (OCP), thermal shutdown, and internal soft start.
