MP5611GQT-Z power management IC Voltage Regulator IC

The MP5611GQT-Z from MPS is a highly integrated triple-output power management IC specifically engineered for AMOLED display power supplies in smartphones, wearables, and portable devices. Operating from a 2.9V to 5.2V input (typically from a Li-ion battery), it integrates three independent regulators: a boost converter for AVDD (5V to 7.7V, 100mA), a boost converter for ELVDD (4.6V to 5.2V, 500mA), and a negative inverting buck-boost converter for ELVSS (-1.4V to -6.4V, 500mA), providing the precise positive and negative voltages required by modern AMOLED panels. The chip features a single-wire digital control (CTRL) interface for dynamic voltage scaling and sequencing, supports independent enable control for AVDD/ELVDD, and includes integrated soft-start and active fast discharge for ELVSS to ensure clean display turn-off.

MP5611GQT-Z power supply IC Applications

1. Smartphones & Tablets: Primary power management for main and secondary AMOLED displays, supporting dynamic voltage scaling for brightness and efficiency.

2. Wearable Devices: Smartwatches and fitness bands requiring efficient, low-noise power rails for small-size AMOLED screens.

3. Portable Medical Displays: Handheld diagnostic equipment and monitors where clean, stable power is critical for display clarity.

4. IoT Devices with Displays: Battery-powered gadgets utilizing AMOLED technology for low-power user interfaces.
