The 74HC4051PW-Q100,11 is an 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX) designed by Nexperia (formerly part of NXP Semiconductors), compliant with the AEC-Q100 automotive standard (Grade 1). It enables bidirectional signal routing between one common input/output (Z) and eight independent channels (Y0-Y7) via three digital select lines (S0-S2) and an active-low enable pin (E). Operating with a 2V to 10V single-supply voltage (or ±1.5V to ±5V dual supplies), it supports analog signals up to ±5V relative to ground, making it ideal for mixed-signal applications. The device features low on-resistance (60Ω typical at 9V supply), channel-to-channel matching (9Ω max), and break-before-make switching to prevent signal glitches.
