The 5PB1104CMGI8 is a high-performance 1:4 LVCMOS fan-out clock buffer from Renesas Electronics (formerly IDT), designed for precision clock distribution in communication, networking, industrial control and computing systems where signal integrity and timing accuracy are critical. Built using advanced CMOS technology, the device operates across a wide 1.71 V to 3.465 V supply range, covering both 1.8 V and 3.3 V voltage domains, and supports LVCMOS input and output with a maximum operating frequency of 200 MHz, making it suitable for driving multiple clock loads from a single source without degrading signal quality. 


An integrated 50 Ω serial termination further enhances signal integrity by reducing reflections on the transmission line, eliminating the need for external resistors and lowering bill-of-materials count as well as placement cost. The device also integrates a synchronous glitch-free Output Enable (OE) function that safely starts and stops clock distribution without generating spurious or intermediate incorrect clock cycles, protecting downstream logic from metastability or false triggering during power sequencing and dynamic clock gating. Rated for an industrial operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C, the 5PB1104CMGI8 provides reliable performance in challenging environmental conditions.
