ISO124U Isolation Amplifier 1 Circuit 8-SOIC
The ISO124U, a precision isolation amplifier manufactured by TI and housed in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package, features a unique duty cycle modulation-demodulation architecture that transmits signals digitally across a 2pF differential capacitive barrier fully embedded within the package plastic body, eliminating the influence of barrier characteristics on signal integrity to deliver exceptional reliability and strong high-frequency transient immunity. Rated for 1500Vrms isolation voltage, it supports bipolar operation with a wide ±4.5V to ±18V dual supply range, maintains a maximum nonlinearity of only 0.010%, and offers a 50kHz 3dB bandwidth with a fixed unity-gain configuration that requires no external components for basic operation, making it ideal for industrial process control tasks such as transducer isolation, thermocouple and RTD signal conditioning, 4-20mA loop isolation, ground loop elimination, motor and SCR control, power monitoring, PC-based data acquisition and precision test equipment.
