ISO3086DWR 2/2 Transceiver, Isolated Full RS422, RS485 16-SOIC

The ISO3086DWR is a high-performance 20Mbps, full-duplex, 2.5kVrms isolated RS-485 and RS-422 transceiver housed in a 16-SOIC. Designed for robust industrial communication, this integrated circuit combines a differential line driver and receiver with an integrated galvanic isolation barrier that breaks ground loops and supports a far wider common-mode voltage range for long transmission lines. Operating from dual supplies of 3.15V to 5.5V and 4.5V to 5.5V, it sustains data rates up to 20Mbps across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. With its 1/8 unit load, the device allows up to 256 nodes on a single bus, while an integrated fail-safe receiver handles bus open, short, and idle conditions. 

The ISO3086DWR is widely deployed in industrial automation systems such as PLCs, DCS, remote I/O modules, and industrial Ethernet gateways where ground potential differences are prevalent. It is equally suited for motor and motion control applications including servo drives, variable frequency drives, and CNC interfaces, as well as building automation networks like HVAC systems and security stations.
