General DescriptionThe MAX3243ECPWR is a high-performance, multichannel RS-232 transceiver developed by Texas Instruments (formerly Maxim Integrated), designed for reliable serial communication in battery-powered and industrial systems. Integrating three line drivers, five line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit, it complies with TIA/EIA-232-F standards, supporting data rates up to 250kbps (500kbps peak) over a wide supply voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V. It features ±15kV IEC ESD protection (air-gap) and ±8kV contact discharge protection on all serial pins, safeguarding against electrostatic damage in harsh environments.
