The SM320C6678ACYPW is a high-performance multicore digital signal processor (DSP) from Texas Instruments, belonging to the TMS320C66x DSP generation and featuring eight TMS320C66x DSP cores. Each core operates at up to 1.25 GHz, delivering exceptional fixed- and floating-point computational performance for the most demanding signal processing tasks. This device is engineered for high-throughput, computationally intensive applications, integrating massive on-chip memory, advanced multicore navigation, and high-speed serial interfaces. It serves as a powerhouse for complex algorithms in telecommunications, defense, and high-performance computing, enabling parallel processing of vast data streams with high efficiency.

Each of the eight C66x cores provides up to 40 GMAC and 20 GFLOPs of performance, combining to offer a total of up to 320 GMAC and 160 GFLOPs. The device integrates 4 MB of shared L2 SRAM and 512 KB of dedicated L2 memory per core, along with a rich memory architecture including DDR3 interfaces. Key peripherals include a multicore navigator for efficient inter-core communication, a packet accelerator for network processing, and high-speed serial interfaces such as Serial RapidIO (SRIO), PCI Express Gen2, and Gigabit Ethernet.
