SN74LVC07ADR hex buffer/driver

The SN74LVC07ADR is a hex buffer/driver with open-drain outputs from Texas Instruments, designed for 1.65 V to 5.5 V VCC operation in a 14-pin SOIC package. It features six non-inverting channels with open-drain outputs that can sink up to 24 mA per channel, making it suitable for driving LEDs, relays, and other loads in mixed-voltage systems. The device supports inputs and outputs up to 5.5 V, enabling level translation between 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V logic families. With a typical propagation delay of 3.6 ns at 3.3 V and 2.6 ns at 5 V, it offers high-speed performance for signal buffering and driving applications.

SN74LVC07ADR level translator buffer Key Features

Key features include six non-inverting buffer/driver channels with open-drain outputs, supporting a wide supply voltage range from 1.65 V to 5.5 V. The device can sink up to 24 mA per output, making it capable of driving LEDs, relays, and other low-to-medium current loads directly. Inputs and outputs are 5.5 V tolerant, allowing interfacing between different voltage domains such as 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V systems. The open-drain outputs enable wired-OR and wired-AND configurations for bus interfacing and signal gating. With a maximum propagation delay of 2.6 ns at 5 V and 3.6 ns at 3.3 V, the device provides high-speed signal buffering. Additional features include latch-up performance exceeding 250 mA per JESD 17, ESD protection exceeding JESD 22 standards, and support for partial-power-down mode and live insertion.

Alternative hex buffer driver Models

● SN74LVC07ADT: A variant in the same 14-pin SOIC package with identical hex buffer/driver functionality and open-drain outputs, offering an alternative sourcing option for high-volume manufacturing.

● SN74LVC07ADGVR: A 14-pin TVSOP package variant with the same hex buffer/driver architecture, providing a smaller footprint for space-constrained designs while maintaining the same electrical characteristics.

● SN74LVC07APW: A 14-pin TSSOP package version with reduced package height and the same non-inverting open-drain buffer/driver functionality, suitable for applications requiring lower profile components.

● SN74LVC07A-EP: An enhanced product version with extended temperature range and enhanced reliability features, designed for industrial and high-reliability applications requiring robust performance.

● SN74LV07AD: A hex buffer/driver with open-drain outputs designed for 2 V to 5.5 V operation, providing a cost-effective alternative for applications that do not require the full 1.65 V to 5.5 V range of the LVC family.
