TAS5630BDKDR 300W Class-D amplifier, high-efficiency audio IC

The TAS5630BDKDR is a high-efficiency, 300W stereo (or 600W mono) Class-D audio amplifier from Texas Instruments, designed for professional audio systems, home theaters, and powered subwoofers. This advanced PWM-based amplifier operates with analog/PWM hybrid modulation, delivering >90% power efficiency while maintaining ultra-low THD+N (0.03% typical) for high-fidelity sound reproduction. Supporting a wide 20V to 53V power supply range, the TAS5630BDKDR integrates self-protection circuits (overcurrent, overtemperature, undervoltage lockout) and features a dynamic power limiter to prevent clipping in high-SPL speaker systems. Its selectable modulation schemes (BD Mode for EMI-sensitive applications, HD Mode for optimal audio performance) enable flexible deployment in live sound reinforcement, automotive premium audio, and compact active speakers.

Packaged in a thermally enhanced 44-pin HSOP (DKD), the amplifier supports 2Ω to 8Ω speaker loads with peak output currents up to 15A per channel. The chip's integrated feedback loop minimizes output filter dependency, while its 50kHz PWM switching frequency reduces EMI interference. Texas Instruments provides EVM modules and GUI-based tuning software for rapid prototyping, making it ideal for high-power bass amplification, multi-channel AV receivers, and portable PA systems.
