TCA9534APWR 8-Bit I2C I/O Expander 400 kHz 16-TSSOP

The TCA9534APWR is a low-voltage, low-power 8-bit I/O expander from TI, designed for the I2C and SMBus protocols. Housed in a 16-pin TSSOP (PW) surface-mount package, it operates over a wide supply range of 1.65V to 5.5V, supporting both 100kHz (standard-mode) and 400kHz (fast-mode) clock speeds. This device integrates configurable I/O ports, an active-low interrupt output (INT), and internal configuration, polarity, and input registers, enabling seamless GPIO expansion for microcontrollers. It features robust ESD protection (>2000V HBM), low standby current (<1µA), and high-current drive outputs for direct LED driving.
