TPS2553QDBVRQ1 Automotive Precision Adjustable Current-Limited Power-Distribution Switch

The TPS2553QDBVRQ1, engineered by Texas Instruments, is an AEC-Q100 qualified, precision adjustable current-limited power-distribution switch designed for automotive and industrial applications where accurate current limiting is critical or heavy capacitive loads and short-circuit conditions are anticipated. This high-side load switch integrates an 85-mΩ N-channel MOSFET and operates from a 2.5 V to 6.5 V input supply, delivering up to 1.5 A of continuous load current while providing programmable current-limit thresholds from 75 mA to 1.7 A (typical) via a single external resistor. 

The TPS2553QDBVRQ1 is ideally deployed in a broad spectrum of automotive and industrial power-distribution applications where precision current limiting and fault protection are paramount. Prime applications include automotive ECU supply rail power distribution and switching, precision current limiting for sensitive loads, USB ports and hubs, as well as general-purpose power distribution and switching in industrial control systems. Its ability to deliver up to 1.5 A of continuous current with programmable current limiting makes it particularly valuable in protecting USB-powered peripherals, automotive infotainment modules, body control electronics, and sensor interfaces from overcurrent and short-circuit events.
