AD9755AST 14-bit digital-to-analog converter / DAC 48-LQFP

The AD9755AST is a high-speed, 14-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) developed by Analog Devices, designed for applications requiring ultra-fast signal conversion and excellent dynamic performance.  Operating at up to 300 MSPS, this TxDAC+® series converter supports both single-ended and differential clock inputs and features an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) that doubles the external clock frequency, enabling interleaved data input and doubling the effective output data rate.  It utilizes a segmented current-source architecture combined with proprietary switching techniques to reduce glitch energy and enhance dynamic performance, delivering superior spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) and intermodulation distortion (IMD) characteristics.  The DAC outputs are differential current sources with a full-scale current range of 2 mA to 20 mA, compatible with both single-ended and differential applications.  The device operates from a single 3.0 V to 3.6 V supply and consumes only 155 mW at full scale, making it ideal for power-sensitive systems.  The on-chip 1.2 V temperature-compensated bandgap reference ensures stable and accurate output over temperature.  Housed in a 48-pin LQFP package, the AD9755AST is suitable for high-density PCB layouts and is rated for industrial temperature operation from –40°C to +85°C.  It is widely used in communications infrastructure, including LMDS, LMCS, and MMDS base stations, as well as in QAM and OFDM digital synthesis systems.
